Biography
Henry Louie holds a BSEE from Kettering University, an MS from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a PhD from the University of Washington. His research focuses on off-grid electrical systems in developing countries. Dr. Louie is director of the Humanitarian Engineering Applications Lab at Âé¶¹´«Ã½, where he and his students develop practical solutions to end energy poverty. In 2015, he co-founded the non-profit organization KiloWatts for Humanity, which seeks to empower off-grid communities in Zambia and elsewhere. Dr. Louie is an award-winning educator, an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer, and a past Fulbright Scholar. See
